How to have an amazing holiday while travelling on budget?
This is not the new thing for us to travel. People love to travel since so past. We are only following them and visit the places they discover, and we also try to discover new places too. As it is the most important way to relax, enjoy and chill with friends, family by travelling different places, as it acts as therapy. It gives us adventurous way to enjoy our life. Because I think travelling is the one thing one must experience in their teen age, adventures are the best way to learn.
Rajgir is the ancient city in the northeast Indian state of Bihar, India. Surrounded by hills. It is known for its holy sites. Basically, Rajgir means "the city of king". It is the historic town which is located in Nalanda District of Bihar. It was the first capital of the ancient kingdom of Magadha. A state that would eventually evolve into the Maurya Empire. This all things are also mentioned in literary epic, The Mahabharata, through its king Jarasandha.
So, here are the budget friendly places, one should visit in Rajgir. Most of them have free entry but some of them charge money for it, but its nominal money not so high they charge.
Place Location- Near Maniyar Math.

Always say yes to new adventures. Everyone loves to travel. Everyone loves to explore different places around the world, but the major problem is face by most of us is budget. So, today I'm going to talk about the places which are budget friendly and was on my bucket for a while. So, I explore this place, enjoy the food, tradition, historical monument, adventurous things and many more.
Without wasting further time, I let you know the place, and the place is Rajgir, in Bihar state.
One can go Rajgir through Flight as well as road transport (Railway and Roadways). If you have low budget, then you can travel through train which only cost 550 rupees for sleeper class from New Delhi. But if you good budget then you can travel through Flight as well to Gaya District. From their one can hire public transport to Rajgir which is at only distance of 1 hour.
1. Rajgir Hot Spring.
It is located at the foothills of the Vaibhav Hill. It is one of the major tourist's attractions for people. One should must take bath here as it is believed that hot spring has medicinal properties which help to cure many skin diseases.
Distance- 3 KM from railway station.
Place Location- At the foot of Vaibhava Hill.
Timing- 6 AM to 6 PM.
Entry- Free.
2. Swarn Bhandar.
It is two of the artificial caves which is situated in Rajgir. It is situated near Maniyar Math. It is one of the famous places to visit in Rajgir.
Swarn Bhandar or Son Bhandar means "store of gold" and legend has within the cave. It is believed that there has a lot of gold which belong to ancient king, either Jarasandha or Bimbisara.
Distance- 5 KM from railway station.
Place Location- Near Maniyar Math.
Timing- 9 AM to 5 PM.
Entry- Free.
3. Pandu Pokhar.
Pandu Pokhar is well located park facility in Rajgir. It is the best place to explore for the people who love nature, adventure who love to ride boat. It is a leisure attraction and delightful place for everyone with so much to see and experience. The beautiful landscape sets the mood for all. You can have indoor game, outdoor and adventurous activities.
The heritage is spread approximately in 22 acres. Pandu Pokhar in Rajgir is a truly wonderful, magnificent example of great Indian history that date back to Mahabharata. It'll offer you cycling boating, horse riding, zorbing capsule and many more.
Distance- 4 km from railway station.
Place Location- Virayatan road
Timing- 7:35 AM to 10:50 PM
Entry- Have different price for different package ( vary from 100 to 1000 rupees)
4.Venu Van.
At a distance of 3 km from railway station, Venu Van is a historical park located in Rajgir. Venu Van it basically, means "bamboo forest", is a historical park associated with Buddha. The park was gifted by Magadh King Bimbisara to Lord Buddha about 2500 year ago. You can see there a small pond which is known as Karandak tank the park. Buddha takes bath in this pond before going to teach his disciples on Griddhakuta hill.
Distance- 3 Km from railway station.
Place Location-Nimal, Rajgir.
Timing- 6 AM to 6 PM
Entry- 5 rupees for Indian and 70 for Foreigners.
5. Veerayatan Jain Museum.
Veerayatan is an ashram with peaceful environment just beside the mountain. This beautiful museum opened in 1982 in Veerayatan. The museum has more than 50 diorama panels consisting of artistic handmade representations of the lives and teachings of the 24 Tirthankaras, designed by Acharya Shri Chandanaji. This is one of the most visited places, having more than five million visitors to its credit.

Place Location- Rajgir.
Timing- 9 AM to 7 PM.
6. Vulture Peak.
The vulture peak is also known as the Holy Eagle Peak or Griddhrakuta, was the buddhas favorite retreat in Rajagaha. It is said that this is one of the most ancient sites where the Buddha is said to have preached his lotus sermon was amongst the favorite meditating place of the Buddha. It is believed that even today one can feel the spiritual power at that place.
A statue of Buddha was found here in 600 BCE and currently placed at Archeological Museum of Nalanda.
Distance- 6 KM from railway station.
Place Location- Gridhrakuta tas
Timing- 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
7. Ghora Katora.
Ghora Katora is a natural lake which basically, means Horse Bowl. The shape of the lake resembles that of a horse and it is surrounded by mountains from three sides. It is said that lake attracts migratory birds from Siberia and Central Asia during winter.
This place is very calm and good place to enjoy and chill. There is a big Buddha statue in the Centre of Lake. But to arrive there we need to book vehicle which takes us to location via a small jungle. One can do boating there.
Distance-14 Km from railway station.
Place Location- near world peace Pagoda.
Timing- 9 AM to 5 PM.
Entry- Approx 100 rupees.
8. Vishwa Santi Stupa.
This is situated at the top of Gridhakuta hill at an altitude of 400m. It was built as a symbol of world peace by the Japanese.
This marble pillar also showcases four golden statues of Buddha depicting different stages of his life.
i.e.- Life
Enlightenment.
Preaching.
Death.
You can also go there with the help of ropeway which cost you near about 150 rupees.
Distance- 8 Km from railway station.
Place Location- Rajju Marg.
Timing- 9 AM to 7 PM.
Entry- Free.
You can have access to food and hotel for 500 or less for the day.
As hotel start from 500₹ and if you go for the local places then it can be less.
So, one can complete this tour from 6000 to 10000₹
